Longer Drives

Route 31 Coastal Drive takes in the 31kms of our beautiful coastline from O’Sullivan Beach to Sellicks Beach and everywhere in between.

On the Fleurieu Peninsula, there are many fantastic spots to visit that are within an hours drive from Beachwood. You can drive your car on the sand at Silver Sands Aldinga Beach, explore the cliff line of Sellicks Beach, kayak at Myponga reservoir, visit Carrickalinga, Second Valley or Deep Creek National Park, where you can go for a day hike on the Heysen Trail. Victor Harbour is only 45 minutes drive from, with tourist options, including a walk around Granite Island to spot some fairy penguins, a surf at Middleton Beach or the historic township of Port Elliot and Horseshoe Bay.

By Bike

One of the best ways to see the McLaren Vale and Fleurieu Coast is by bike. The region’s network of trails can take you to just about anywhere you want to go…wine tasting, shopping, markets, eating out, exploring the great villages, or going to the beach.  You can hire a bike from SA eBikes and they even deliver the bikes and helmets to our house!
